The new Axa sure'll be something else, I'll tells ya that. And we don' take to kindly upon programmed keyboardtracks around here anymore!
That is why we are searching for a talented person who wants to experience a musical and conceptual adventure together with us (all done in a very masculine way). And who is able to add the right atmosphere to our music.
IMPORTANT: The new AXA will not be as keyboard oriented as in the past. The keyboard parts will, "mostly" remain sober.
Basically what we're looking for:
- A talented keyboardplayer
- No virtuoso needed, we rather have one good note played then 32 notes that don't add anything to the music
- Has to be soundminded, every keyboardline needs the right sound, live as on CD
- Be able to compose music in different styles
- Theoretical background is a +
- Be able to sing clean for vocal harmonies is a ++
What we offer:
- CD recordings in 2009
- A prestigious secret project which will be released together with this CD
- A membershipcard to the Antwerp Underground Metalscene
- A Licence to kill (Emperor Mordred)
- one or two rehearsals a week in Antwerp

Very unfortunate news from the Axa-front, our frontman Peter has to quit singing in Axamenta, on doctor's orders.
Here's Peter official statement:
"After more than 9 and a half years it has come to pass that I say goodbye to Axa. This has been a tough decision but alas it is a decision taken on doctor's orders. My heart is still with the guys and the music but my voice can't take anymore damage than it has taken over the years. It has been a great ride and I wish I could ride the cloud of Axa untill eternity. The gigs that are planned will go on with me as the singer.

We will surely still cherish a lot of good and fun moments with Peter, as we believe he will only leave the band in functional terms, of course not in close entourage, so to say.

Our show in De Rots on Friday got good reactions from the crowd. Arne did a great job that evening, especially when considering he got a phonecall 3 days before and only 1 rehearsal. The Axa way, last minute ;-) Anyway, we're very pleased he could do the job for us and everything went well. Thanks again for showing up everyone and for packing the place up until the staircase, nice !

Since we wouldn't want to miss a show in our home town, we asked Arne from nekromantic metal formation Herfst to be standing in for Peter. Rehearsal went well yesterday, so by tomorrow everything should be up and about for a one time off performance with a fellow ex-band-ex-member with whom most of us go way back. Come and join the party !

We have just decided to cancel the concert for Axamenta. Unfortunately, due to Peter suffering from a serious throat infection, we can in no way guarantee the quality of our performance the way we want it.
We weren't able to find a suitable stand-in for Peter for this show, so we think it would be better if we agree on another date with the organisation. They ensured this was no problem.
So we will be on stage in Neuss somewhere in 2008 most probably.
Concerning our performance this Friday at the Offstage Metal Event in Antwerp, we will be crash-course-rehearsing with a stand-in vocalist. If eveything goes well on both parties' side, we will announce what you can expect that evening.

Unfortunately the show this weekend in Kompas, Sint Niklaas is cancelled. Sandstorm wasn't able to guarantee the quality of show they desired, so they decided to postpone it.
The show will probably be moved to Kuurne in Februari with a foreign headliner, which is nice of course.

We had a superb time in Leuven this weekend with Suhrim and God Dethroned. Lots of kudos to the organisation, everything was really well foreseen. We had a splendid time on and off stage, with an hilarious afterparty. Footage will be online pretty soon I reckon. Thank you all for showing up !

We had an awesome time there, the organisation was really great and the audience we were graced with went absolutely ape shit... Which was nice.
Pics are on their way, plus, we did kind of a live recording, with a simple tape deck. Don't expect it to be released, but it sure will bring back some great memories about this evening. Oh, we did laugh.
Thanks again to the crazy audience, the organisation and the bands we could temporarely nick some gear off from. One of our most fun shows ever, for sure!

Working with Patsticks for Tom's Balbex endorsement has resulted in another fine deal.
Tom will now endorse Amedia cymbals, imported through Patsticks as well.

Due to familiary obligations, unfortunately, Jerre cannot play the Stonehenge Festial show with us. Axamenta will play at the fest however, with former member Yves Huts, now bassplayer for the Dutch gothic phenomenon EPICA. It'll be fun having this good friend and ex-member on stage with us, no doubt.

We are honoured to announce that negotiations with the Polish guitar manufacturer MAYONES are round up ! We recently signed a deal to endorse their magnificently crafted guitars and basses.
Ian and Sven will endorse 2 Regius models each, Jerre will be endorsing a Jabba and a Victorius bass, all made to custom demands.
Both parties are absolutely excited about the deal and we're really looking forward to seeing the guitars being made and finally being able to play on them on our live shows.

Axamenta kicked off the new season after our summer-break in Zaventem last Saturday.
The concert overview said "[surprise] [surprise]" but that's because it was ... a surprise party (duh) for someone's birthday! Yes, we do birtday parties and weddings now too.
Anyway, it was a fun evening, Katrin was there as well ("great, i travelled 3 hours to go to a birthday party of someone i don't know, and i'm even not directly invited"), and took us some pictures, which you can check in the gallery section.

The Ever-Arch-I-Tech-ture Contest is OVER ! 6 people have found the darkest cogs in the wheelwork of creation, congrats!
The winners are :

The clues to the solution to the riddle were : 1. Some letters in the songtitles were highlighted in red.
2. Audrey wrote that she left clues, and that "time does play a role" this time.
3. So, when you order the songs chronologically, you get the correct order for the letters.
4. An extra check was the CD TEXT of the album. Put it in your DVD, mediaplayer or car radio, and you'll see that every song is preceded by a character. When you order the songs chronologically, you get "chainreaction", as an extra check to let you know you're on the right way.
When you found the correct order for the highlighted letters, you get axamenta.com/12gildredgeroad, which is of course an URL.
When you reached the site, you had to fill in a vault number and a password. Both are to be found in the booklet as well. Audrey wrote on a scrap of paper "UBS: Vault: 325, Pass: Cassandra".
You have now reached the vault where Audrey kept her log!

Oostende was fun, enthusiastic crowd, good sound, very nice organisation. We stayed there overnight and after some strolling over the shores, we left for Kuurne.
Another day being well spoiled by an outstanding organisation and whiskey/cola :-)
Too bad we didn't have our own soundman with us for this show, and that the day seemed too long for the crowd.. It wasn't our best gig ever, but we'll rematch the lot of you at Biebob next friday!

Yesterday, we got the opportunity to be the support act for CRADLE OF FILTH in "De Effenaar" in Eindhoven, June 1st !
Cradle is on a festival tour, and this show is the only one in the Benelux ! We are obviously very excited about this !!
In less fortunate news: this show will be held without our drummer Tom, since he can\\\'t make it to the show.
As a replacement, we will take Pieter from ZERO-GRAVITY with us !

Thanks to everyone who was there to make this a VERY memorable evening! Lots of people showed up and by the time Axa had to play, the place was nicely packed. The atmosphere was great, had a very good stage-mix (for a change ;-)) which made playing at ToM even more pleasant! Thanks again every one!

Yesterday we signed with SHIVER Records for the release of our upcoming album "EVER-ARCH-I-TECH-TURE" !
We are very pleased with "coming back home" and are confident we found here what we were looking for.
The release will be for end May!

Vacation is near it's end and we have some news for you all!
THE EVER-ARCH-I-TECH-TURE RELEASE : will probably be postponed until 2006. We should receive the mastering next week,
and then we're up to the "standard 4 month wait" in which the CDs will be manufactured and the news will be spread.
AXAMENTA IN HOF TER LO : on 11/02/06 we'll be joining Cryptopsy, Grave, Suhrim and a lot of others on the FACE YOUR UNDERGROUND 2 fest!
BLACKBOXBOOKINGS could have some other shows in the pipeline, but nothing's confirmed yet.

AXAMENTA's upcoming album "Ever-Arch-I-Tech-Ture" will feature DANIEL GILDENL?W from the swedish PAIN OF SALVATION as a guestsinger!
Daniel will do the vocals on 1 entire song, for which he has written the melody and vocal pattern himself.
The band is absolutely thrilled about this and recording is in progress as we speak!

We will enter the Studio during the spring of 2005 for a Full-length album in the extention of the "Incognation"-Promo. Expect a thirteen track album spanning a dark variety of different styles.

Tears Of Metal was a blast!!!! Audience was great, excellent atmosphere, +/- 350 people, good shows from all the bands,
